Synopsis : Sumathi (Vijaya Nirmala) is a very homely girl who stays with her brother Mukund Rao (Gummadi) and sister-in-law Durga (Savitri). Mukund Rao and Durga performs Sumathi's marriage with Mohan (Shoban Babu). But unexpectedly life takes an ugly turn where Sumathi comes to know about Mohan's attitude. He is a very isolated person who doesn't socialize and is also a very high tempered person. Once when Durga comes to meet Sumathi she finds out that Sumathi is being threatened by Mohan.
